New Pinnacle Consulting Group, LLC, A Division of Pentegra offers a full range of retirement plan consulting services and an established network of partner firms that provide legal and investment advice.
Gary Mauger has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of retirement plans, and is a founding partner of New Pinnacle Consulting Group. Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President, Pension Operations for TIAA, a Fortune 100 company specializing in retirement products and services for educational institutions. They manage assets of approximately $450 billion.
Gary held a number of senior level positions in his 20-year career at TIAA including various field consultant positions where he provided consulting services for institutions and their retirement plan participants. As Director of Corporate Projects, he managed numerous multi-million dollar product and service development efforts. He was responsible for the start-up of the TIAA Select market segment, consisting of over 15,000 plans totaling $15 billion in assets. He also led the Pension Product Development area and was responsible for developing the product and service offering for the various institutional markets TIAA serves.
As Senior Vice President for Pension Operations, Gary led pension operations for the company including all pay-in, payout transaction areas and institutional client management. This division employs over 800 associates and processes over 6 million transactions monthly.
Gary served on the Board of Directors for TIAA Life Insurance Company, on the University of Colorado at Denver College of Business Advisory Board, and currently serves as Vice President and Board Member of the Carolinas CEBS Chapter.
Gary has a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in economics and an MBA and emphasis in finance from Utah State University. He is also a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS).

Christine Dailey has over 25 years experience in pension plan administration and client relationship management, and is a founding partner of New Pinnacle Consulting Group. The scope of her experience includes plan design, ERISA compliance, DOL regulations fiduciary guidance and investment management services for 401(k), 401(a), 457 and 403(b) pension plans.
Prior to NPCG, as Vice President of Client Services at TIAA, Christine created and implemented a new centralized service model for 12,000 small institutional clients nationally, totaling $25 billion in assets and $1.2 million in annual premiums. She was responsible for relationship management, sales and support.
Christine also managed a centralized customer service phone center (two locations) consisting of insurance licensed and FINRA registered representatives supporting plan sponsors. This included support for the large institutional and individual segments comprised of 3,000 clients with over $300 billion in assets.
Christine has significant experience working with plan sponsors. As a senior relationship manager she was responsible for over 300 institutions, including two of the south’s largest premium remitting plans. She provided consulting services to plan sponsors on a variety of retirement plan issues including plan design, ERISA and plan compliance, and day-to-day plan administration.
Christine has participated in numerous leadership and strategic planning programs. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Behavior Sciences degree from Oglethorpe University.

David Mauger has over 10 years of experience working in the financial industry. He has been an integral part of the New Pinnacle Consulting Group since the company’s inception, and currently oversees a number of different operations including: nondiscrimination testing, verifying compliance with contribution limits, performing analysis for plan redesigns, new plan implementation, and analyzing RFP responses for clients considering several retirement providers.
David began working in corporate finance at an automotive warranty company in Colorado after earning his MBA, and was promoted several times from an intern position to company executive.
David graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in finance and a minor in history. He completed his MBA through the University of Colorado at Denver in 2006.

Suzanne Spunzo has over 24 years of experience in the retirement, group medical, non medical and pension employee benefit industry.
Prior to joining New Pinnacle Consulting Group in 2018, Suzanne held several client relationship roles at TIAA over her 21 year career working with plan sponsors on 403(b), 401(a)/(k) and 457 (b)/(f) plans. She provided consulting services on plan design, plan provisions, legal & regulatory changes and compliance. Most recently, as a member of the National Advocacy team, she was responsible for managing relationships with Independent School Associations and serving as a liaison for association members.
Prior positions include roles as a marketing assistant and medical claim examiner at The Principle Financial Group in the Boston, MA and San Antonio, Texas areas. Suzanne served in the U.S. Army and was based in Germany.
Suzanne has a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Economics from the University of Texas in San Antonio. A Massachusetts native, she currently resides in Colorado.

Bob Parker has over 21 years of experience in the retirement plan industry with a focus on plan administration of 403(b), 457(b), 457(f), and multiple employer plans, plan set up and relationship management.
Prior to joining New Pinnacle Consulting Group in 2021, Bob held various roles with TIAA beginning with the National Contact Center and Counseling groups to service individual participants, initial set-up and administration of smaller 403(b) plans (under $50 million in assets), then serving as a Relationship Manager for this segment. Over the last 7 years, he worked with large healthcare providers, state governmental plans, Optional Retirement Plans (ORP), and Multiple Employer Plans (MEP) as the central Client Service Manager serving over 300 clients.
Previously to his tenure with TIAA, Bob worked with Prudential Brokerage and in commercial banking for a number of years in third-party lending.
Bob has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Finance from Duquesne University in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. He moved to the Charlotte, NC area in 1989 and currently resides southeast of the city.

Steve Mauger has a diverse background with over 10 years of experience in operations, finance and sales. Steve has been working with New Pinnacle Consulting Group since the company’s founding. As Managing Director of Operations, he manages technical reporting related to regulatory filings and correction programs, company analytics and data reporting, as well as Form 5500 tax filings.
Steve began his career working as a financial analyst in the telecommunications industry. Following the completion of his MBA program, Steve moved into positions in operations, sales and finance, eventually being promoted into senior executive roles in finance and operations in leading technology companies. With over a decade of experience in finance and operations, Steve has a passion for building teams and processes from the ground up.
Steve graduated magna cum laude from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in operations management. He completed his MBA through Westminster College in 2010.
